Who we are

PawkBroker is operated by Known by One, LLC, a Delaware limited liability company (“we” or “us”).

What PawkBroker is, and is not

PawkBroker offers free value calculators, guides and a directory of pawn shops. We are not a pawnbroker, lender, buyer or appraiser, and we do not give financial, legal or tax advice. We do not make loans or offers, and we are not a party to any deal you make with a shop.

Estimates

Estimates are calculated automatically from public price data and typical industry ranges (see how the estimates are calculated). They are not appraisals or offers, and they do not promise that anyone will pay a particular amount. A shop's offer depends on its own inspection of the item. Do not rely on an estimate for insurance, tax, estate, divorce or other legal purposes; use a qualified appraiser for those.

Guides

The guides are general information, correct to the best of our knowledge when published. Laws, rate caps and prices change and differ by state. They are not advice about your own situation.

The pawn shop directory

Listings are compiled from shops' own websites and other public information. We have not inspected the shops or verified their licenses, we do not endorse them, and we are not responsible for what they do. Check a shop's license, terms and reviews before you deal with it. If a listing is wrong, tell us.

Brand names

Brand names such as Rolex, Cartier, Chanel, Hermès, Louis Vuitton, Tiffany & Co. and GIA belong to their owners and appear only to describe items. We are not affiliated with or endorsed by any of them.

Links to other websites

The site links to websites we do not control. We are not responsible for their content or practices.

Using the site

You may use the site for your own, non-commercial purposes. Do not republish substantial parts of it, scrape or overload it, try to get around its security, or use it for anything unlawful. The content is copyright Known by One, LLC.

No warranties

The site is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of accuracy, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not promise that the site will be error-free or always available.

Limit of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, Known by One, LLC is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss arising from a deal you make with a pawn shop or other buyer or from relying on an estimate, guide or listing. Our total liability for any claim relating to the site is limited to US$100. Some states do not allow these limits, so some of them may not apply to you.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Disputes will be heard in the state or federal courts located in Delaware, unless the law of your state requires otherwise.

Changes to these terms

If we change these terms, we will post the new version here and update the effective date at the top. Using the site after that means you accept the new terms.
