Who we are

PawkBroker (pawkbroker.com) is operated by Known by One, LLC, a Delaware limited liability company (“we” or “us”). Questions about this policy go to contact@pawkbroker.com.

The short version

• You can use every calculator, guide and listing without giving us your name, email or phone number.
• The calculators run in your browser. What you enter about your item is not sent to us or stored.
• We do not use cookies, analytics or advertising trackers.
• We do not sell your personal information or share it for advertising.
• We do not pass your details to pawnbrokers.

What we collect

Emails you send us. If you email us, we receive your email address, your name if you include it, and what you write. We use it to reply and to act on your request.

Technical data. Like any website, ours receives the information your browser sends when it loads a page: IP address, browser type, the page requested and the time. Our hosting provider processes it to deliver the site and protect it from abuse, and keeps it for a limited period. We do not use it to identify you.

Who we share it with

We use service providers to run the site and handle email: Vercel hosts the site, Cloudflare manages the domain and forwards email, and our email provider stores messages. They process information only to provide those services to us.

We may also disclose information if the law requires it, to protect our rights or the safety of others, or to a buyer if the site is sold, in which case this policy continues to apply to it.

We do not send your information to pawnbrokers. If we add a way to ask pawn shops for offers, that form will say which shops receive your details and nothing will be sent without your permission. We will update this policy before that happens.

Selling, sharing and targeted advertising

We do not sell personal information, share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, or use it for targeted advertising, as those terms are defined in US state privacy laws. We do not collect sensitive personal information.

Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control

We do not track visitors across websites, so a Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signal has nothing to switch off. The site works the same with or without one.

How long we keep it

We keep emails for as long as we need them to deal with your message and any follow-up, or longer if the law requires it. You can ask us to delete them sooner.

Your rights

You can ask us to tell you what personal information we hold about you, give you a copy, correct it or delete it. Email contact@pawkbroker.com from the address the request is about, so we can confirm it is yours. We reply within 45 days. Residents of California, Colorado, Connecticut, Texas, Virginia and other states with privacy laws have these rights by law; we give them to everyone. We will not treat you differently for using them.

If we turn down a request, you can ask us to reconsider by replying to our answer. If you are still unhappy, you can contact your state attorney general.

Children

The site is for adults; pawn shops only deal with people aged 18 or over. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you think a child has sent us information, tell us and we will delete it.

Security

We take reasonable steps to protect the information we hold, but email is not fully secure. Please do not email us ID documents, bank details or other sensitive information.

Where information is processed

Known by One, LLC is a US company. Our service providers store information mainly in the United States, and we may access it from other countries.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will post the new version here and update the effective date at the top. See also our terms of use.
